What information we collect

We collect personal data in two ways:

  • Information you give us when you complete a quote request, email capture, or guide-download form: your name, postcode, phone number, email address, project type, budget range, timeline, and any details you choose to share.
  • Information collected automatically if you consent to analytics cookies: your approximate location (country/region), the pages you visit, your device type and browser, and how you arrived at the site (referrer, UTM parameters).

How we use your information

We use the information you give us to:

  • Respond to your quote request or enquiry
  • Send the guide or resource you requested
  • Schedule and carry out building work where you become a client
  • Keep records of work we have quoted for and completed

We use analytics data (when consented to) to understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Legal basis for processing

  • Quote requests and enquiries: processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
  • Existing clients: processing is necessary for the performance of our contract with you.
  • Analytics cookies: processing is based on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time using the cookie manager.

Who we share your data with

We use the following third parties to operate the website. They act as data processors on our behalf:

  • Netlify. Hosts the website and receives form submissions on our behalf. Data is stored in the EU/US under SCCs. Netlify privacy policy.
  • Google (Google Analytics 4). Only if you consent to analytics cookies. IP addresses are truncated. Google privacy policy.

We do not pass your details to any other third party for marketing.

How long we keep your data

  • Quote requests we did not progress: 24 months, then deleted.
  • Client records: 7 years after the end of the work, to meet UK accounting and tax record-keeping requirements.
  • Analytics data: retained by Google Analytics for 14 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data (where we no longer need it for the purpose we collected it)
  • Object to processing, or ask us to restrict it
  • Withdraw consent to analytics cookies at any time via the cookie manager
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
